For a while I was really considering becoming a BC artist. I’m definitely not as good as Drei or anything, but I think I’m okay enough to do a good job! But seeing all the nastiness that people fling at the current BC team, there’s no way in hell I’ll ever become a site artist now.

I think its more not only new users who are from harsher sites, but groups of users who been here a long time and in a way got big egos to think they can get away with whatever they want and troll people on and off-site. I’ve seen this more and more often on this site and it saddens me that some people would be like this. These users consider themselves elites of the site and so “show” off their “eliteness” in rude ways.

Waiting for people to uphold their ends of bargains, trades, breeding rules. Waiting for commissions for over half a year.

If you agree to something do something, follow up.

If someone commissions you, get it done.

If you agreed to breeding rules, species rules, offspring rules, a quick check before you do anything with the pets would save so much grief.

Don’t drag your ass and stay out of touch and generally fuck around until your responsibilities come to bite you in the ass.

Yes, it’s nice to be able to take an extra week or two when you have someone nice who is willing to wait, but don’t take advantage of them, and don’t ignore them until they show up however many months later and ask tentatively only to be blown off for another month or more.

I will never understand this as an artist. I literally cannot sit on people’s money, gp/bp and forget about them.

TL;DR Treat people you interact with with respect, and don’t forget about them because it’s convenient for you.

I feel like I’m guilty of this sometimes. I do my best to keep my commissions pretty quick but I have school and some things have to give.
On the other side of the coin, if commissioners aren’t willing to wait, they should find another artist.

This is also a good reason why I don’t ask for Payment until after I’m done; So I don’t get bitched at and reported for not holding up to my duties.
