Because Hide and Kaneki are soulmates who love each other deeply and that’s a fact. Because they love each other so much they faced death itself and did everything they could to protect the other from pain. And of course their reunion will hurt so damn much after almost four years of not even talking to each other*
Remember those lazy afternoons when we’d just sit around and watch the sun set? We’d sit there for hours, until the red disappeared from the sky. Sometimes, you’d fall asleep, but it was okay, I never minded the silence.
