Okay, the final votes are in. Here are your themes for
Olivarry Week 2016!
Day 1: Fairytale AU Day 2: Jealousy/Protectiveness Day 3: Hogwarts AU Day 4: Free Day Day 5: Villains AU Day 6: Justice League Day 7: Soulmates AU
In case you haven’t seen our previous posts, here is a
reminder of a few things:
Olivarry Week 2016 will be running from Sunday 5th June
until Saturday 11th June. We will be reblogging the posts according to American
EST, and things will be reblogged twice a day - once at 10am, and once at 10pm.
Don’t worry if you miss the cut off due to your time zone, we will just reblog
it on the next one.
ANYTHING can be posted - fics, art, playlists, gifsets,
fanvids, etc. The only requirement is that they follow the prompt and that it
is Olivarry.
Any works that you post should be under the tag
#olivarryweek2016. Please make sure to include this in your first five tags so
that we can track it properly.
The rest of the rules can be found here. Please familiarise
yourself with these so that everything runs smoothly!
Day 4 (Free Day) is the day that you can post ANYTHING you want
as long as it’s Olivarry.
If you’re not entirely sure what a Soulmates AU is, check
out this link for clarification.
The poll for theme suggestions for Olivarry Week 2016 is up! You can pick up to 6 themes each, and remember, even if your preferred theme doesn’t get voted in, we will still have a free day in which you can work with anything you want!
Thank you so much for your suggestions. Again, some of them were too specific to work for a group assignment, so we merged some together or took the prompt and made it more general. So if you can’t find the theme you suggested in here, I promise it’s there, we just had to modify them a little bit to give the participants some freedom when working with the prompts.
This poll is open until Sunday 17th April, and then the following day, the final themes will be announced!
Following the results of the poll, we’re excited to announce that Olivarry Week will run from Sunday 5th June - Saturday 11th June.
That being done, we’d like to invite you to start sending in prompts. We have received a few already, so thank you to those who’ve already sent theirs in, although, some of them have been a little to specific - we are looking for themes rather than specific scenarios. Remember, your prompt will be used by various people in various different mediums, so try to make it something vague - examples of prompts that were selected last year can be foundhere.
Since we have a bit of time before the actual event, we’ve decided to accept theme suggestions until Monday 4th April. On this date, we’ll collect all the prompts that we’ve received and open up a vote to decide on the final themes.
As always, if you have any questions/concerns or even suggestions for other events, you can ask ushere, or if you want to talk to us individually, your admins are @smittenvigilantes and @empty-puppet.
Special thanks to the wonderfully talented @k-dayun for the pretty banner.
Here it is, folks! Round 2 of voting, this time for what week you guys want us to run Olivarry Week. Like the last one, this poll will run for a week from today - 03/13 to 03/20, so get your votes in ASAP.
Additionally, feel free to start sending us asks with the desired themes/prompts that you guys want to see (anons are now open, too). Remember to keep them short and vague to give the writers/artists/giffers/whatever a bit of freedom to interpret them! Only a few words long, preferably.
As always, we appreciate your help in signal boosting this so that it can reach as many people as possible! Thank you to everyone who liked/reblogged the last post. Let’s get this one circulating so we can get word out to as many people as possible!
Following the success of
Olivarry Week last year, we’re excited to announce that we will absolutely be
throwing it again this year. So! We figured this year since we have more time,
we could get more input on the actual date from you guys.
The first round of voting will be on deciding the month, and
will run for a week - from today (March 5th) until next Saturday (March 12th).
Think about what month works better for you. In a week’s time we will select
the top two months and give you guys the options of dates within those months
in a follow-up poll, and then we’ll start taking prompt suggestions and take it from there!
Heyyy! Friendly reminder that the Olivarry Valentine’s Weekend begins on Friday. Please remember to use #olivarryvalentines2016 in your first five tags and add to the collection olivarryvalentine2016 on ao3. Make sure you’re aware of the rules which are posted here.
Over the next few days we’ll be reblogging some valentine’s related prompts. These are by no means exhaustive and it’s only to give people ideas if they haven’t come up with anything yet - so if you’ve already completed your contribution, don’t panic! They’re merely suggestions.
As always, if you have any questions, our ask box is open, or if you’d rather speak to a single person, send an ask/message to Amie or Steff.
Additionally, we are always open to suggestions for future events, so if you have any ideas that you think would be fun for the fandom, please share with us!
Okay you guys! Valentine’s Day is drawing closer, so I felt it was time to get this post out here!
As mentioned before, we’re running a Valentine’s Weekend, so we’re looking forward to see what this wonderful fandom comes up with.
The event will take place over the weekend of Valentine’s Day - Friday 12th Febuary to Sunday the 14th Febuary.
Unlike our usual events, there are no prompts, specifically. The overall theme is valentines day, so do with that what you will. These can be posted on any day of that weekend.
Rules are the same as ever. If you need a reminder, check here. The tag for this event will be #olivarryvalentine2016.
As usual, please share and signal boost so that we can drum up some interest and get as many people involved as possible! The more writers/artists/giffers etc that see this, the more goodies that will be available over the weekend for you guys!
Hi! Sorry for the delay in answering this, we were discussing before we came up with an answer.
But YES, we will be holding a Valentines Day Weekend. Rather than specific prompts, we’ve decided to just keep it simple - anything valentines related will be reblogged. We will make a proper announcement soon, but you guys feel free to start working on stuff now. We’ll run it over the 12th to 14th February.
As always, we’re looking forward to seeing what you all come up with! More details to follow in the next few days.
Day 1 (Friday 18th Dec):
Snowed in
Day 2 (Saturday 19th Dec): Free Day Day 3 (Sunday 20th Dec):
First Christmas as a couple
We can’t wait to see what you guys come up with! A more detailed reminder post will be made closer to the time, but the rules can be viewedhere if you need a reminder andour ask box is always open for questions.
As always, a signal boost would be appreciated, so that this can get around to as many people as possible.
