#okay but see this is even COOLER than just normal colors #because what this is basically saying is that space is colorful in ways that are so fucking cool that the human eye is unable to see them #like you know how bees can see ultraviolet light? #they can see markings on flowers and stuff that we can’t #nature is so much cooler than we see it as #the gorgeous range and shift of colors in these nebulas means that #it’s not just regular red blue yellow colors that are mixing together in a pretty way #it’s actually these other energy wavelengths mixing together and being emitted from clouds of dust in pretty ways # that is so much cooler???? #like snakes and scorpions can see infared light #so if a scorpion put on an astronaut suit and went out to see the nebulae #that scorpion would totally have the time of their life #so when scientists are sitting there photoshopping these nebulae or whatever #IT’S LIKE THEY’RE GIVING US SCORPION VISION (via warpfactors)
