I hope everyone noticed how the animators made Jack’s sister and Jamie almost identical. I think that’s the reason why Jack, though there are so many children in the world, was so attached to Jamie, why he always seem to come back to him multiple times within the movie (side from the fact, of course, that Jamie is an integral character in the story). Maybe unconsciously, Jack sees the kid’s face and he recognizes it somewhere deep in the memories he never really lost. The thing that’s even more beautiful is how Jack saved his sister from death, but at the end of it all, she (in one form or another) saved him back from being alone.
